Brotherhood Committed to Honoring Veterans

Riding With Purpose, Honoring Veterans Through Direct Support and Unwavering Brotherhood

Chapter 40-2 created our “Old Line” motto from the steadfast history of Maryland’s "Old Line State" based on the 1776 American Revolutionary War Battle of Long Island. During this period, while fighting nearly 2,000 British forces, both Pennsylvania and Delaware defense lines collapsed and retreated leaving only a regiment of Maryland soldiers of around 250 Soldiers.  Their mission was to cover the retreat at all cost. By defending the American withdrawal from Long Island, the Maryland Line saved the Continental Army from annihilation in the first major battle of the war.  Our annual fund-raising event “Old Line Rumble” is named from this historical account.

Under our chapter logo the words Probatur In Proelio was designed in the patch which aligns with our members “Proven in Battle”.

Dedicated to Serving Those Who Served

Combat Vets 40-2 is a registered 501(c)(19) Combat Veterans Association from all branches of the United States Armed Forces with a passion to ride motorcycles for veterans who can’t. We are not a motorcycle club (MC). Our 40-2 chapter has a wide footprint in Maryland, extending from North East, MD, to Southern Baltimore and out to Frederick, MD.

Our Mission Centers on Comprehensive Veteran Support

Our core mission is to support veterans, their families, veteran care facilities, other veteran organizations, and registered charities. We sponsor and support many veteran-related charity events each year. As a non-profit organization, 100% of our funds raised go directly to veteran needs.
